Cotton: How do you win? To try to get the ball into the hole as fast as you can, like getting it into the hole within 4 strokes. If the par is 4, and you get the ball in within 4 strokes, it's called a
par. (Also called even)
Lamb: And if the par is 5, and you get the ball in within 4 strokes, it is called a birdie. On the scorecard, you write it as -1.
Cotton: By the way, in golf, - is good and + is bad!
